Alan Cameron was a Scottish artist whose main areas of work were the landscapes of Scotland and Italy. 

 

He passed away in 2025 and his widow, Ann, is curating and exhibiting his remaining work. 

 

His first thematic solo exhibition was in 1984 when the main strands of this work were set. Alan's work is figurative and interpretative and seeks to capture the essential ingredients of his subjects; their form, texture, colour and temperature.

 

Pieces were produced in a variety of media and are shown in photographic illustration in the following Gallery pages.

 

Alan also enjoyed a varied career as an architect and landscape architect, which in concert with art, has allowed a creative balance of design for the present and future with interpretation of what is already there.

 

He was a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee and The University of Edinburgh.
